The Lions Clubs of Gympie and Mary Valley have joined forces again to hold the 6th annual Lions Mary Valley Family fishing Classic at Borumba Dam.. They are also pleased to advise that the net proceeds of the event will go to the Lake Borumba Fish Stocking Association to help them restock the dam with fingerlings.
The other objective of the project is to increase overall community awareness that the Mary Valley Region of the south east is a place of wonderful natural beauty with a resiliant community spirit that is definitely worth a visit to "stay and play".

This change was brought about by concerns expressed by a number of competitors at the 2016 competition.
